Terms for using PortalLess.

Agreement

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the limited PortalLess founding pilot. They are an operator-prepared pilot draft and have not been approved by legal counsel. Participating firms receive the controlled-pilot restrictions before payment; attorney approval remains required before general availability or an earlier legal or customer-contract trigger.

Who may use PortalLess

• PortalLess is intended for accounting firms, bookkeepers, tax preparers, and related professional service providers.
• You must provide accurate firm and account information.
• You are responsible for users you invite to your firm workspace and for actions taken through your account.
• You must have permission to request, upload, store, and process any client files submitted through PortalLess.

Acceptable use

• Do not use PortalLess for unlawful, abusive, deceptive, or harmful activity.
• Do not upload malware, executable payloads, or content designed to disrupt systems.
• Do not attempt to bypass access controls, probe infrastructure, or access another firm's data.
• Do not use PortalLess as a general public file-sharing service.

Customer responsibilities

• You are responsible for deciding what information to request from clients.
• You are responsible for your firm's professional, regulatory, tax, privacy, and retention obligations.
• You should review uploaded documents promptly and route them into your firm's system of record when appropriate.
• You are responsible for maintaining appropriate access controls within your firm.

Service availability and changes

PortalLess may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service as the product evolves. We aim to provide reliable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

PortalLess provides early-stage document collection software without a service-level guarantee. It does not provide tax, accounting, legal, compliance, or security advice. Firms should not use the controlled pilot for tax returns, identity documents, or files containing Social Security numbers. Attorney-reviewed warranty and limitation-of-liability language remains a general-availability requirement.
